We have a new rug in the dining area. Well, new to us. It’s one of the many things the previous owner of my grandprents’ summer cabin had left in the cabin and it had been in the storage since. My grandmother and I washed it last weekend and she gave it to us - it’s the perfect size for the room. During the summer I crave lots of white and cheery, light colors around me so I was happy to replace the darker rug we had under the table earlier with this one. I also put away our bedspread for the summer. It’s so dark and it’s too small for the bed anyway. We have been meaning to replace it with something new ever since we moved in but haven’t gotten around to it yet. So for now we’re just forgetting the bedspread altogether and making the bed in cheery summery sheets.
