Mamma Mia!

Today I went to see Mamma Mia! with my mom. It was actually the second time I saw the movie since we went to see it last weekend when Minna’s mom was visiting us but my mom wanted to see the film and I was more than happy to go and see it with her. I can’t help it - I adore musicals! (And Meryl Streep!) In addition to the great Abba songs and all the fun singing and dancing the movie has a lot to offer visually. The Greek islands are a beautiful setting for the story and the set decoration and wardrobe on the movie was so colorful and cheerful, I loved it!

I really liked the wardrobe, both Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried’s characters have lovely clothes through out the movie.

You can find more beautiful images of the set decoration from the official website.

Reading Design*Sponge I learned that the beautiful fabrics you can see through out the movie are designed by Josef Frank. How lovely are these nature inspired fabrics? My favorite is the Celotocaulis print in green (bottom image)!

I visited the wonderful Svenskt Tenn store last year in Stockholm. Josef Frank’s designs are so fresh and modern, and you know that you’re home environment would be completely improsed if you had them to lookmat every day!
