Nestled In

It is one of the great frustrations of my life (seriously. I guess that means I have a pretty good life!) that there are NO String shelf distributers in the US. None! The VAT and shipping to buy from Europe is insane (more than double the cost of the shelves), but I may just break down eventually and do it.

I feel for you! :) I guess that’s one advantage of living in Europe. But then again I’m always green with envy when reading people’s blogs and seeing their great thrift finds, I think that the thrift store culture over here in Finland is different from the US. I think that people don’t get rid of their things so easily here so there’s basically just junk to be found at thrift stores and second-hand furniture shops and if there is something nicer it usually costs a LOT. And, we don’t have those nice old Eames chairs! -Katja
