Thankful

Even though we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving over here I thought this was a good time to count our blessings. We have so much to be thankful for this year. Our little family is happy and healthy. After starting our blog about a year ago we’ve been lucky to find readers and get to know the kindest people. And now we are very fortunate to make one of our biggest dreams come a reality: we’re going to be homeowners! Starting next Friday we’ll be the owners of a lovely rowhouse apartment here in the city. It’s in a building built in the late fifties, it has a kitchen and a livingroom in the groundfloor, two bedrooms and a bathroom in the second floor and one room and a tiny bathroom and a tiny sauna in the basement. It has two teeny tiny yards, just enough for us to plant some flowers next summer. The apartment is going to need some work, some of which we’ll be doing immediatelly before moving in sometime during January, and some of which we’ll leave for later. So in the next couple of months our blog will most likely feature (in addition to all the usual stuff) lots of DIY stuff, picking stuff out for the new apartment, and decorating it.
