Happy Friday everyone! It looks like the next couple of days will be full of sunshine and friends for me, and what more could you wish from a summer weekend? What about you, what are your plans?
The lovely Alek from From the Right Bank to the Left Coast is traveling around Europe (lucky girl!) so she has asked some of her Internet friends to contribute to her blog while she is gone. I was so flattered when she asked me to write a little guest blog and today you can read it here.

This weekend it’s supposed to be super nice outside, sunny and warm. I’m looking forward to spending time outdoors, but we don’t have any outdoors furniture yet. Someday I’d love to have a bench like in the top right image on our back terrace, and a little table and two chairs on the front yard next to the barbeque. But for now I’ll just throw a blanket on the ground and have a picnic outside, so happy to have our own yard so we don’t have to go to a park somewhere just to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

I love Finnish Anna Emilia Laitinen’s work, there’s a dream-like quality to her paintings I think.

OK, how very lovely are these homewares from New House Textiles?! My favorite is the blue, black and white Herring collection and the fun Herb Garden collection, but really, all the products in this webshop are wonderful (and quite affordable!). I also love the styling of these photos!

I love books, I love art so to me art that’s made on old book pages is pretty much perfection. Like these two from My Folk Lover and Restless Things. I think these would look so lovely together, side by side on the wall.
