Art

Now that the upstairs hallway walls are finally painted it was time to hang some art! When deciding on what art to display in this room I chose pieces with red in them, using the color to give the grouping a more unified look. The Keep Calm poster (it was a lovely gift from an Internet friend!) is obviously red but there’s a little bit of red in every piece, in For The Birds print by AshleyG, the gocco print by Lisa Congdon (it says “Practise Kindness”) and there’s even a thin border of red in the framed vintage postcard of Venice. I think that the color combination of light grey + white + red looks really fresh and lovely. I’m so happy with the end result and now our tiny upstairs hallway is one of my favorite rooms in the house!

The read color and the chair look so lovely in front of the grey wall! And I like that the red color echoes in the wallpaper of your office!
ihana! mää saatan kohta tilata sut ripustamaan asioita munkin seinille kun ne on niin tylsän tyhjät :)
I LOVE the way you have grouped these prints together.
“Keep calm and carry on” There’s an excellent piece of advice :D Nice one!
I love the owl print. I’m kind of obsessed with them lately…
Looks really lovely, great collection!
I love how they coordinate together without it looking matchy matchy. Great job!
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments! :)
Hieno kokoelma! Värit toimivat todella hyvin yhteen. Punainen on kyllä melkoinen piristysruiske ja sitä tarvitaan näin poikkeuksellisen sateisena kesänä.
Koska nämä sateet loppuvat?
really really cool.
The “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster is based on the original WWII poster commissioned by the British Government’s Ministry of Information. Peter Pauper Press has a journal with the exact image on it, in of course red.
It’s really nice.
I love how you’ve grouped them together!
