Yesterday I made gingerbread bears (the mould is from Marimekko), I wish I could share them with you but I guess a picture will have to do. Now it’s time for a short Christmas break from blogging, we’ll be back sometime next week. Happy holidays!

All the gifts have been bought/made, cards sent, and the plans for proper holiday decorations blissfully forgotten (why force it when it doesn’t feel important?). Now it’s time to stay home, enjoy a few quiet days and relax. How are your Christmas preparations going? I hope you are finding time to slow down and do something relaxing.
Ps. We recently added buttons into each post footer for quick and easy sharing on popular sites like Facebook and Twitter. Let us know what you think – are they something you use on other sites or not? I feel like I’m always a bit behind on all this stuff (I still bookmark all my favorite blogs to my computer the old fashioned way – I should really start using Google Reader or something similar, it’s almost 2010 after all!).

Most of our kitchenware is from Ikea and Arabia (both new and vintage thrifty finds), but recently we’ve added a new favorite for kitchen wares, Swedish Sagaform. Beautiful modern design with hints of Skandinavian tradition (like in this cute jar I bought yesterday) and very reasonably priced too (the jar was less than 12 Euro). These matte black mugs are quite possibly the best tea mugs we’ve ever come across, they fit perfectly in your hand and are simply beautiful too.
In other news, Times Online listed 50 of the world’s best design blogs and we’ve made the list! What an honor for our little blog to be included with all those lovely blogs! Thank you Lynne from Tea For Joy for including us in the list and introducing many inspiring blogs to us!

Looking at the items I’ve recently added to my favorites on Etsy it’s easy to see what my favorite colors are at the moment. These are actually quite close to the colors of the pillowcases I made for the livingroom in September! I’ve been thinking about making new ones for Christmas but maybe I’ll keep them for a little longer since I’m obviously not tired of these colors yet.
Ocean View Pillow from Norajane, All the Little Ponies print from Kiki & Polly, vintage plate from Divine Debris Vintage and journal/sketchbook from wonderwear.
