Floor Plan
I thought it would be fun to share our floor plan with you so you get a better idea of the size and layout of our home. The size of our home is about 65 square meters (about 700 square feet) + the basement. We haven’t done any changes to the floor plan – although when we were doing the kitchen renovation many people said that we should take out the wall between the kitchen and the livingroom for a more open floor plan but we prefer the two rooms separate, it feels more faithful to the original 1950’s style of the apartment this way. The one little change that we did was to remove two small cupboards upstairs (one on either side of the bathroom door) to make the seriously tiny bathroom (where we also have the washing machine) a little bit bigger.
I’ll share the basement floor plan with you later on, we are planning to redo the basement and we’re still figuring out what to do there and when we can afford the renovation.

I do think the same with you about not-to-remove the wall of the kitchen/living room. To keep the integrity of the house is important.

Me varmaan käytiin katsomassa samantyyppisiä asuntoja kun oltiin tätä ostamassa, pohjapiirros ainakin oli ihan sama. Ei varmaan teidän asuntoa käyty, ei näytä niin tutulta ;) Mutta niissä oli hyvin erityyppisiä kellariratkaisuja, yksi oli laitettu tosi hienoksi, valkoiseksi rapatut seinät ja tummia puupalkkeja. Meilläkin on kellarin varalle kaikenlaisia suunnitelmia, mutta ensin nämä maanpäälliset asuintilat :)
Mine is also 61-65 m2. I also moved one wall, just to make bigger the living room.
I am looking fordward for the basement plann…just to know what you are thinking about…
