Livingroom Details
I try to keep the overall look of our home calm and uncluttered but I don’t like a minimalistic look, I really like having little things on display. I’ve arranged my favorite little things in the livingroom, they make me happy every time I see them. The K is a new find, now I’m trying to find an M to keep it company on the picture ledge.
Oooh I love your arrangements on the shelves. That little tin is probably my favourite item but it’s all so pretty! I agree with you – I like calm but not totally minimalistic. It’s so comforting to have special things around you.
your home is so beautiful..and I really like little treasures standing on a shelf or a commode…I got a “M” from a work colleague the other day…hope you find a nice M too…I really like the ceramic box you have in the first image…very lovely

Beautiful arrangement. I find that I’m constantly trying to find a balance between clutter and minimalism, and you’ve hit it on the head here.
Lovely photographs! You can already sense the approaching spring from the shade of the light in these. I love the way you display little things without making it look busy or cluttered.
I love love love how you’ve arranged things! Everything looks very personal and calm, but nothing like a museum or as if you’ve spent hours arranging it to take photos. It looks harmonious and real. :)
ps: I just came across a few magazines I had packed away for you guys and I’ll be sending them off next week. I’m thinking norsk won’t be difficult if you know Swedish. :P

that picture ledge is a great idea. i grabbed some huge paintings at ikea for my living room that are above the couch we have, i never though of a little ledge like that. redoing our bedroom gives me a chance to install one now! yay

I couldn’t have said it better myself. I too hate clutter, but I also don’t like minimalist design. I think a nice balance between the two is ideal.
