Here’s lovely Christmas decoration inspiration from Sköna Hem magazine. How great it would be to spend Christmas time in a beautiful country house like this. Have you decorated your home for Christmas yet? Apart from the Christmas branches we haven’t done anything! I fear that with all the excitement over the new apartment we’ve completely forgotten that come Christmas we still live in this one!

I love the current trend of bringing nature inside the home. Bringing actual branches and stones inside the home, making things out of natural materials like wood and wool, as well as using nature themes like images of trees and wild animals in art and decorating, like wallpaper and textiles. Above is a little deer I bought yesterday in one of my favorite shops in Oulu, Lifestyle Kauppa. The deer is made by titiMadam and it’s actually a pop out Christmas card but I think this little guy will stay with us even after the holidays. First of all, thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments on my last post! We’re so happy to start the project of fixing up and decorating our new home and it’s going to be twice as much fun because we’ll be able to share it with you! Even though we get the keyes to the new apartment on Friday we’ve already started picking out things for it. The above image is from the Swedish wallpaper company Eco and the black and white wallpaper on the wall there is our chosen wallpaper for our new kitchen! We’ve also been thinking about paint colors and have decided to go with light grey for many rooms, to give the relatively small living space a connected and spacious look. Here is gorgeous interior photography by Trine Thorsen (via desire to inspire). I’m sure there’s no explanation needed why I love these images of this lovely home. It’s so inspiring, makes me want to move and decorate everything in white with just little bits of pink and plenty of natural materials, wood furniture, branches and flowers, baskets.
