Kirpputori is a Japanese online shop that sells the most adorable things. The word kirpputori is a Finnish word, meaning “flea market”, and the shop sells a lot of Finnish products, like gorgeous old Arabia dishes. Here are just some of my favorite products from their online shop - how cute is that mushroom dish? And that hedgehog! Too adorable!

Is it too early to think about Christmas gifts yet? (Or am I late already and will, as usually, end up feeling like Christmas is just days away and I have still some gifts to figure out!) How early do you usually start thinking about/making/buying gifts each year? I thought I’d put together little visual lists of gift ideas for the people in my life. These are just ideas, so Mom, if you are reading this, this won’t spoil the surprise for you! So this first gift idea list is for my Mom, who loved the Mamma Mia! movie, loves the color blue and all things Marimekko. I think she would really enjoy these gifts, so what about your Mom, do you have any gifts ideas for her yet?

Since we finally have a cofee table we’ve realized that what we are missing - and what we really need - is coasters. The white glossy paint surface of the table can be quite unforgiving so we definitely need something to protect it from hot tea cups and such. So I turned to Etsy to look for cool coasters and here are my favorites.

So, how about you? Do you use coasters and if you do, where did you find yours or did you make them yourself? I was kind of thinking about making them myself but now finding all these lovely coasters made by others I don’t think I could come up with anything as nice as these. My favorite one is the Mini runner from yorktown road (in the lower left corner in the image above) that I think would work nicely as a coaster too.
